Just found this beautiful Kenneth Cole New York ‘Seams Right Large’ Hobo Bag.

Large, functional, and made of “ buttery soft pebble leather bag with a single rolled handle.” Though it retails for almost $250, we think this bag is one to splurge on. It’s a classic, and this shade, “Luggage” can complement your brown and black if necessary. The bag also is available in black and turquoise.
Go for it! Available at www.nordstrom.com

After his heartbreaking suicide attempt last year, Owen Wilson has announced he will return to working as an actor.

Dreamy Owen Wilson (above) before his suicide attempt last year.
His latest project is a film based upon the best-selling memoir, “Marley and Me”. He co-stars with Jennifer Aniston.
Miami will be the setting for filming, as the story concerns a young writer and his wife and their “incredible” adoptive puppy, Marley.
We shall see how this turns out. Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton predicts this project “smells like box office disaster”. But his fans (and people just curious about the suicide) will likely all show up just to see what he is looking like these days….

I have found it:
A line of eau de parfums that everyone wants to smell like.

The “CLEAN” line is absolutely incredible! “CLEAN Perfume was launched by Fusion Brands Inc. in April 2003. Randi Shinder, the founder, desired a fragrance that was reminiscent of pure soap, that universal fresh out of the shower scent. Unable to find such a fragrance, she developed her own…CLEAN. CLEAN is formulated in small quantities to ensure all ingredients are fresh, pure, and of the highest quality. CLEAN is a lifestyle brand that has expanded from its core CLEAN fragrance to encompass ancillaries that remain true to CLEAN’s promise of simplicity in a complicated world.”
At about $34 an ounce, these sprays are well worth the price. My favorite scent is the “Warm Cotton”, which is truly, as Sephora describes it: “perfect for the modern woman who is confident enough to let herself–not her fragrance–command attention”.
Available at www.sephora.com.

Whoa. Aretha Franklin is apparently upset with Beyonce for referring to Tina Turner as “the Queen” before their joint performance at the Grammy Awards last Sunday.

Does she really care that much? Franklin rants afterward: “”I am not sure of whose toes I may have stepped on or whose ego I may have bruised between the Grammy writers and Beyonce. However, I dismissed it as a cheap shot for controversy.”
Seriously? Pretty sure SHE is bringing on the controversy.
My point of view? Step aside Aretha and Tina, for Beyonce’s reign as queen has begun.

Allegedly finalist Carly Smithson–formerly Carly Hennessy–already had a record deal and even sold a couple hundred copies of an album.

“Ultimate High was released in stores nationwide three months ago. So far, it has sold only 378 copies–amounting to about $4,900 at its suggested retail price….The story of MCA and Ms. Hennessy shows the dysfunctional economics of the music industry at work. MCA, one of Universal Music’s major labels, initially hooked up with the spunky teenager three years ago because it was trying to get a piece of the great success competitors enjoyed with young pop artists like Britney Spears and ‘N Sync. Ms. Hennessy, a native of Dublin, had released her debut musical effort, Carly’s Christmas Album, in Ireland at age 10, after performing all over Europe as Little Cosette in Les Miserables. At 13, she was named the Irish national spokesmodel for the Denny sausage brand. Soon, she and her family began hoping for much more, and Ms. Hennessy dropped out of high school…”
And the rest is history: moved to America, became a finalist on our country’s “American Idol”.
But a music career and record deal? Totally against ‘Idol’ rules!!
Hmmm. Wonder what Simon thinks…

While browsing through Tiffany’s selections for spring 2008, I was thoroughly disappointed, and even a bit disgusted.
The jewelry I coveted and started getting for birthdays and Christmases since I was twelve seems to have undergone a bit of a transition to tackiness.
Their charm bracelets that debuted a few seasons ago are so, “Look at me! I have Tiffany jewelry!” The hearts are ugly and also label stamped. And there are now knockoffs of the best classic pieces, which caused the real ones to lose allure. But the new stuff they are producing is just terrible. While contemplating which piece was worthy to show on this post to convince you, I couldn’t choose just one. Thus I invite you to look for yourself: www.tiffany.com.
While fantastic for label-whores and grandmothers, I have withdrawn interest from Tiffany & Co. Looking for something fabulous and really status-worthy? Check Cartier out!! They have yet to really go down the drain….

Everyone’s favorite heiress is at it again.
No, a sex tape didn’t surface and she didn’t get arrested for drunk driving (although her little brother Barron did earlier this week…). Paris’ latest big screen adventure premiered last week, although in “limited” theatres/locations.
The film is titled “The Hottie and the Nottie”, and Paris plays Christabel Abbott.

“Nate moves to L.A. to track down Cristabel, the woman he’s been in love with since childhood, only to discover that his plan to woo her only has one hurdle to overcome: what to do with June, Cristabel’s ever-present, not-so-hot best friend? What’s even more complicating is Nate’s growing feelings for June, whose true beauty starts to emerge.”
Blah blah blah. We are bored already. What a flop. Poor Paris.

ABC’s latest drama-filled series, “Cashmere Mafia”, is making a splash with fans of “Sex and the City”, “The Devil Wears Prada”, and other glamorous programs.
The series follows four incredibly successful (and incredibly dressed!) Manhattan women. Lucy Liu, Frances O’Connor, Miranda Otto, and Bonnie Somerville star in the show, which airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on ABC.

Stylist and Oscar nominee for costume design (in “The Devil Wears Prada”) Patricia Fields, and was behind Sex and the City is now working on Cashmere Mafia.
“It’s totally a mixture of designers knocking on our door or us going to see someone and requesting,” Patricia is quoted, regarding the ties between television and the fashion industry.
As to the show as a whole: “Cashmere Mafia” is great for a light, pick-me-up drama, and the clothes are way fun, but it isn’t quite as addicting as our old “Sex and the City”.
Are we going to continue watching?
Of course. Who knows? It may blow up into something huge, and we certainly must witness that.
Catch tonight’s episode at ten.

New from Tory Burch, who usually (and distastefully) stamps her annoying logo all over everything, opted for a much more subtle look with these glam suede boots.
The Tory Burch ‘Uma’ slender Boots feature a full goldtone zipper in the back, the goldtone metal ornament on the side, and are kid suede upper/leather lining/rubber sole with a fun metal-covered heel. Available at www.nordstrom.com

Sure, the logo is definitely featured, but on the side it’s much more subtle. Of course, retailing for more than $500, they are quite the splurge.
Worth it? Sound off.
